LIVERPOOL golden girl Claire Sweeney is still looking for Mr Right, but says that she is too busy to find the perfect man.

The former Brookside star is having the time of her life as a single girl and says there is nothing she enjoys more than a night out with her friends in Liverpool.

But Claire will not be getting out to her favourite haunts of Jalons, in Smithdown Road, and Mosquito, in the city centre, as she is not scheduled to have a day off for more than a month.

Claire said: "I am single but if I met the right one I would find time for a relationship but I don't feel in any rush or under any pressure.

"I've been so busy recording the album in Abbey Road in London and LA and now I have all the promotion work to do."

Claire was speaking as she returned for a brief visit home to promote her concert at this year's Summer Pops by taking a ferry 'cross the Mersey.

She said: "I went to see Shirley Bassey and George Benson there and it was really fantastic. I never thought people might be coming there to see me.

"I'm really looking forward to it; I'm going to really belt it out.

"And it's really handy because I only live in a flat just down the Mersey from the Kings Dock."

And Claire proved she was still a good thrifty Liverpool lass when she revealed what she would be wearing on her big night.

She said: "I'm going to wear the same white outfit I wore for my showcase, I really like it and I've only worn it once."

Tickets cost £17.50 and £22.50 and are available on 08707 460000.
